What we collect when you use thinkalgo.tech, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
01Who we are
ThinkAlgo is a commerce-engineering studio based in India. We make Adyam, a store operations console, and build software for online stores. This site is thinkalgo.tech. For anything about your data, write to hello@thinkalgo.tech.
02What we collect
We only collect what you send us through a form on this site:
- Start a project and the short form on the home page: your name, email address, store URL, what you need, your budget range, your message, a WhatsApp number if you choose to give one, and whether you want a founding-client slot.
- Adyam waitlist: your work email, store URL and team size.
- Apps beta list: your work email and store URL.
When a form is sent, our server also sees your IP address. We use it for a few minutes to limit spam and do not store it with your enquiry. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs.
03Why we use it
To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and email you about the waitlist or beta you joined. We do not send newsletters, and we do not use your details for advertising.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on your request (steps taken before entering a contract) and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries.
04Cookies and tracking
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are useful. If you are in the EU, the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we ask first and analytics stays off unless you accept; you can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. We set no advertising cookies.
The site also remembers two choices in your browser: the currency you picked for showing prices, and your cookie choice. Neither is sent to us.
05Who sees it
Enquiries are stored in our website database and sent to our team by email. Our hosting and email providers process this data on our behalf. We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires us to.
Our providers may process data outside your country. Where that happens we rely on the safeguards those providers offer.
06How long we keep it
We keep an enquiry for as long as we are talking with you and for any project that follows. If nothing follows, we delete it within 24 months of our last contact, or sooner if you ask.
07Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. You can leave the waitlist or beta list at any time. Write to hello@thinkalgo.tech and we will act within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
08Client stores and customer data
When we work on a client store, any customer data we see belongs to that client and is handled under our agreement with them. Screenshots on this site use masked or dummy data.
09Children
This site is for businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10Changes
If this policy changes, we update the date at the top of this page.
